Many of you already know that Randy Meisner, original founder of The Eagles, talented bassist who wrote and sang Take it To The Limit, passed away at 77.

The son of a pair of farmers, Randy Meisner was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska., on March 8, 1946. After witnessing Elvis Presley on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” he learned how to play guitar but soon gravitated to R&B music, which led him to pick up the bass, drawing inspiration from Motown.
